Alex Mortensen

Alex’s entry to politics began as a member of the University of Akron Turning Point USA chapter, where he quickly became chapter secretary. He took charge of the organization at the onset of the pandemic and led the group from a small, crippled chapter into a large and effective organization on his campus. During that time, Alex had the opportunity to serve as TPUSA's field rep for several months, helping other chapters across northern Ohio do the same.

After graduation, he took charge of the run-down Wayne County Young Republicans chapter, growing it into what is now the larger Wayne/Medina chapter.

Alex has additionally assisted in founding WHAM Young Conservatives, and organization dedicated towards supporting all conservative youth organizations in Northeast Ohio. Alex is also host of the WHAMCAST podcast, a show focused on highlighting the work of young conservative activists across the state.
